Graduation Day!

May 9:

E's graduation day!  It was an exhausting, but good day.

Last Day of College

 May 8:

I drove to Wayne to get Miss A from school.  We moved a few things into her apartment that she will share with friends next year before loading my car with things to come home with, having Jimmy John's in the dorm common room area, and her checking out of her dorm room.  Two more years to go at Wayne!

E's Last Day of School

 May 5:

E's last day of school included graduation practice, walking the elementary & middle school halls, and her final high school band/choir concert.

She was pretty busy at the concert-playing the trap set, leading the band for their 2 pep band songs (she was drum major this year), singing with the jazz band, singing with her group from DMC, having a couple of solos during concert choir songs, and recieving recognition for lettering all 4 years of choir.

Church and 4H

May 3:

This was Senior Recognition day at church.  After breakfast, hosted by the women, the seniors were honored at the late church service.

In the afternoon, Miss E had her 4H test for Levels 1 and 2 in horsemanship, as she plans to compete in 4H in horses this year (along with ALL the other animals EXCEPT goats and chickens).  She has never done it before, so she had to get through the first 2 levels, which she did fine with AFTER we finally caught Lou, who was being a complete and utter stinkpot and refusing to cooperate.  When we took Tex out instead, THEN she decided she didn't want to be left out, and let me catch her and bring her to the ring to work!

Last time for High School Trap Shooting

 May 1&2:

6 weeks of conference trap shoots (only missed 1 meet), 1 high sr girls team medal, 1 high 16s girl trophy, and 1 final time shooting at the State Trap Conference Shoot.  She got the highest score of the 5 girls in her group at a 63 (out of 75).  One more dayon Saturday to shoot handicaps.

Saturday did not disappoint.  It was a beautiful day-haven't had 2 beautiful state trap days in a really LONG time, and she shot a 62.  On her final box, she shot a 24-the best she's ever done in competition.  She had a great ending to her trap shooting run!

Teammates

 April 27:

Miss A has been in the school's Teammates program for 6 years (since middle school).  There were 6 students in her class who each had a mentor, but only 2 of them (including E) came to the final meet for the year that was in honor of the seniors.  Miss E was blessed to have been involved in this program.
