February 6:
2021 is apparently the year to make up for the snow we haven't had for several years! It's snowing AGAIN. We've been pretty lucky in the snow business, actually, so in typical Nebraska fashion, we are making up for it in one month.
We had those 2 days off of school for snow on Jan 25 and 26th, where we ended up with about 14 inches of snow. Thursday, the kids got another day off of school, after originally going to be a 2 hour delay, for the 3 inches we got that left roads a mess and low visibility until after 10 am.
TODAY is Saturday. We have probably had about 8 inches of snow already, and it's not 10 am yet! It's fluffy, but it's coming down and piling up.
I drove Miss A and a friend to the elementary school for a zoom speech meet, IC precariously made his way to work this morning late, and JJ is cringing as I type this at more scooping, digging, and pushing of snow is upon him, AGAIN. It is a Saturday, so the kids are not getting off from school today, but ugh, what a mess. A few years ago, the kids would have loved the huge pile of snow that JJ pushes from the driveways onto our yard, but the teens all just don't get into the snow play anymore.
