Christmas Day

 Dec. 25:

Christmas morning was nice as we didn't get started with gifts until 9 am, which was the earliest the older 2 were going to allow to be awakened by Miss E (who was awake at 7 am).  The kids calmly opened gifts, the cats had a great time playing with discarded wrapping paper and a couple of new toys.  Miss A gave me a lego set and Miss E helped me put it together.  It was nice having the kids all putting legos together in the living room instead of running off to hide in their rooms.  They even stayed and watched "The Santa Clause" while they worked and they stayed until after dinner.  I even got them to dip a few pretzels after dinner.  F came to spend time with IC after she was done working and we watched a movie until midnight with her.  It was a great Christmas.

Last Day of School

 Dec. 20:

Miss E and JJ went to a progressive cattle show over the weekend.  They left Friday and she showed Saturday.  She ended up as the middle of the pack in placings.

Miss A also sang the anthem a few days later on Dec. 17.
