Birthday Cake and Santa

Sunday, November 29:

We finally got around to getting IC's birthday cake done.  It just didn't work out the times I was originally thinking, but better late than never!  We had his cake after dinner and it was very good!

In the evening, we headed to the in-laws for Thanksgiving supper, but first, we stopped to see Santa.  Since IC no longer believes in Santa, he declined going in with us.  But both of the girls went and E actually didn't know what to tell him-after all of the things she's listed for me that she wants!  Anna had no trouble saying what she wanted.  :)

Christmas Tree Time

Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving, we put up and decorated the Christmas tree.

Holiday Dance Showcase

The girls' dance had a Holiday showcase on November 22.  Miss A was in hip hop and E bunny was in jazz and clogging.  Both girls did great!

Crete Rabbit Show

Saturday, November 21:

So we went to an ARBA sanctioned show in Crete.  This was our first ARBA show and we had a new learning curve to deal with.  Since this was a double show, that meant there were 2 shows-Show A and Show B for youth and Show A and Show B for open (which would include adult showers).   We decided to stick with the youth shows and entered both A and B shows.  Although there were 4 tables of showing at once, there was still luls in the day as the mini rex's took FOREVER since there were so many of those entries.

We did do some sitting in between shows.  The girls made some friends, IC didn't socialize much, but he checked out a lot of the other animals.

In show A, Peanut ended up with Best of Breed and Mr. Chips was Best Opposite of Breed in the Mini lops.

Charlie was 3rd in show B and 2nd in show A. Oreo got disqualified for being overweight, but the judges did like him. Thumper didn't do much in shows-she didn't have the condition the judges wanted.

And what do you do when you are waiting to show your rabbit?  You have them take a nap!

And what else do you do with time on your hands?  You enter your name in the door prize raffle drawings and win not 1 but 2 baby guinea pigs!!!  You got to hand it to Anna, she's got a gift with being able to win things.

We were finally able to get them out of their temporary cages after we got home.  We have a boy (named Sheldon) and a girl (named Penny).

Back to the show:
IC's Flemmie, Gizmo wasn't able to show in B and didn't do very well in Show A. IC was pretty disappointed.   All he wants to do is win Best of Breed once-it still hasn't happened.

Since Miss A won BOB in the mini lops, she got to bring Peanut to the Best of Show A (Youth) table.

And she won Reserve Champion (2nd place)!!!!

We didn't get home until after 7.  It was an exhausting, but ultimately, rewarding day!

Dancing In the Street

Thursday, November 19:

York was having a Holiday Festival, so the kids in the Thursday's classes got to perform for people on the street.  It was chilly, but not too bad as the girls ran through their performances.  They looked like they enjoyed it and did a great job.

Afterwards, they got to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker.

The girls still had their regular classes around the performances, so E bunny went to class at 7:30 for her fnal acro dance class.  She loved the class and I hope they have it again.  They had it for 6 weeks.
